We're looking for a dynamic Day-to-Day Repairs Supervisor to oversee essential maintenance works across our social housing properties in the North West London area. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be instrumental in ensuring our residents' homes are safe, well-maintained, and comfortable.
What You'll Be Doing:
As our Day-to-Day Repairs Supervisor, you'll be the critical link between our residents' needs and the delivery of high-quality maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Directly manage and motivate a team of skilled tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, electricians, carpenters, multi-traders) carrying out day-to-day repairs.
- Work Allocation & Scheduling: Efficiently plan, allocate, and schedule daily repair tasks, ensuring resources are optimized and deadlines are met.
- Quality Assurance & Sign-Off: Conduct regular on-site inspections of ongoing and completed works, ensuring all repairs meet required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance. You'll be responsible for formally signing off work upon satisfactory completion.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues that arise during repairs, working collaboratively with your team and other stakeholders.
- Resident Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for residents regarding repair progress, addressing any concerns with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Resource Management: Monitor materials usage and ensure your team has the necessary tools and equipment.
- Health & Safety: Champion and enforce robust health and safety practices on all sites.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work progress, completions, and team performance.
