Site Engineer

Graduate / Assistant Site Engineer required to join a Durham based groundworks company.



Company

A well-established, family-run groundworks company with over 50 years of success in the housing infrastructure industry is looking for an assistant engineer to join a close-knit tea. During a period of substantial growth they require an a motivated individual to join the team and develop a long-term career with us.



The Role

A Graduate or Assistant Site Engineer to work closely with the Operations Manager, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of our groundworks projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the industry, with full support and mentoring from experienced professionals.



Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently

Support setting out and site measurements under supervision

Help monitor site health & safety and ensure compliance with regulations

Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

Contribute to planning and scheduling of works

Learn commercial and operational aspects of the business with a view to growing into a leadership role



Experience

A recent graduate in Civil Engineering or related field, or someone with relevant site experience

Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude

Valid driving licence (preferred due to site locations)
