Q. Am I limited to the
number of jobs I can apply for?
A. No, you can apply for as
many or as few jobs as you wish during your membership
of the website. Many users of the website apply for
numerous jobs at the same time. After all, it’s all just
a click of a mouse away, think how much money you are
saving compared with sending off lots of job
applications in the post!
Q. What do I get for being a
member of this jobsite?
A. You can use the entire range of
the services on offer. You are not committed in any way.
You can either use the site once or all the time, it’s
up to you how often you use this service. The more you
use the site the more you may gain.
Q. What’s so special about
your CV builder tools?
A. The nice thing about our
CV builder tools are that you can build your own CV as
prompted by the questions we ask and then it is
formatted for you in a professional format in Microsoft
Word. This is your CV which you can print off, bind if
you wish and take away with you. You can leave it on
your account and adjust it any time during the year and
use it at the click of a button to apply for as many
jobs as you wish.
Q. Is it safe to register my
CV for employers to search?
A. Yes it is. It’s entirely
optional if you want to activate this facility on your
account. If you have used our CV builder on the website
and you activate your account for employers to find you,
for security reasons your private address and private
contact details will be removed. The employer can only
make contact via email to you via this website or by
text message to your mobile phone if you have selected
this option. It’s up to you then if you wish to reply
and progress matters further. Please note however, if
you have uploaded your own CV and you make it visible to
employers to view unless you remove private contact
details the entire CV will be visible to them, you may
wish to edit your CV especially if you are leaving it on
the website for long periods.
Q. If I select the option to
make my CV visible to employers, how long should I leave
my CV visible for?
A. Only leave your CV for
employers to view whilst you are actively job seeking.
At all other times please do not select this option. You
can keep your CV active and visible to employees for as
long as you require.
Q. How long does it take for
an Employer to get my CV and job application??
A. Almost instantaneous, as
soon as you click apply and send your CV and Job
application the data is sent directly from the internet
web server directly to the employers desk top. The
Employer can then instantly view your application and
decide if an interview should be offered. They can then
reply back directly to you by email and also by Text
message to your mobile phone if you have selected this
additional option.
Q. What’s the point of the
mobile phone text message service?
A. With this facility you
can either request details of jobs as they come
available in the sector you are interested in working to
be sent direct to your mobile phone OR obtain interview
offers from jobs you have applied for or get job details
from employers that have searched for your CV. This is a
superb service that gives you up to the minute
information where ever you are and is a great facility
if you just want to register your CV and details on the
web site and let the Job interview offers just roll in.
Q. Can I top up my phone
text messages?
A. Yes, once you have used
up your text messages you can request additional text
messages from us.
Q. Are You An Employment
Agency?
A. No, please note that
redgoldfish is an advertising medium for recruiters,
advertising agencies and employers alike. When you apply
for a job we have no control as to whether you are
offered an interview for the position you apply for. We
are, in effect, just like an online newspaper. We cannot
influence any element of your application.
